Additionally, the Call of Duty Next event is scheduled for August 28. Historically, the open beta for recent Black Ops titles has started roughly a week after the game’s major showcase.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on these points, it makes sense that the COD Next event will kick off the closed beta on August 28, which will run until September 3. Then, about a week later, the open beta will likely go live on all platforms over the weekend of September 6.
