As you play through ARK: Survival Ascended’s The Center<\/a> map, you’ll be in the regular loop of unlocking Engrams to craft your next set of survival items. While unlocking the Engram for a specific item is useful, getting the blueprint for it allows you to craft it at much higher levels, all without needing to unlock the Engram at all.<\/span><\/p>\n

This makes blueprints extremely useful in the game, but knowing how to get them, or even farm them, can be a struggle for most players. Thankfully, you won’t need to struggle any further, as this guide will show you the best location to farm some of the best blueprints in ARK: Survival Ascended’s The Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

How To Farm For Blueprints in ARK Survival Ascended The Center<\/span><\/h2>\n

When it comes to getting the best blueprints on The Center, the best method currently is to fish for them. The locations you can do this in (thankfully) are quite varied, so you won’t need to travel too far to find the best fishing spots. Below, you can see a rough map of the best bodies of water to fish for blueprints on The Center.<\/p>\n

Now, when it comes to getting quality blueprints, there are two factors to consider. The first is getting yourself a high-level fishing rod. To do this, you need to kill the Alpha Mosasaurs and Alpha Tusoteuthis roaming around the eastern ocean of the map. Anywhere along the 90-degree latitude line on the map should spawn a few that you can take down (but be aware they are alphas, so don’t expect an easy fight).<\/p>\n

Once you have killed enough of them for high-level fishing rod blueprints, you can go ahead and craft it, then move on to the second aspect of fishing for high-level blueprints: the fishing itself. Now we can move on to the second aspect to consider, your fishing percentages. When completing the mini-game that fishing requires, pay close attention to the two numbers that pop up when you’re reeling in the fish. You’ll see that it reads, “You caught a (Fish Name) | A, with Quality: X.XX!” and the numbers in that sentence (A and X.XX) are everything when it comes to getting good loot and blueprints.<\/p>\n

The first number you’ll see (A) is the size of the fish, and the second number (X.XX) is the quality. The higher these two numbers are (and the better your rod is), the better loot you’ll get, meaning the better blueprints you’ll get. To increase the fish size and quality, you’ll need to use the best bait (getting your hands on honey<\/a> is a good idea) and the best rod you can find (which we already showed you how to get).<\/p>\n

So in summary, before you head to any of the map locations we suggested to fish for your blueprints, consider your fishing rod and bait. When both your rod and bait are the best possible quality, the size and quality numbers will increase, resulting in better catches and better loot, i.e., better blueprints. This can also be capitalized on when the server drop rates are boosted, resulting in extremely high-quality fish, and thus even more insanely high-quality blueprints and loot at your disposal.<\/p>\n
