Psyonix has announced Rocket League will be going free-to-play later this summer.

In an announcement post, the developer outlined how while this won’t change the core gameplay, they’re “refining the main menus to make exploring the game easier”.

Psyonix are also set to “revamp and improve” features like Tournaments and Challenges, while introducing cross-platform progression, covering battle pass progression, competitive rank and cosmetics.

Interestingly, the free-to-play version will launch on PC on the Epic Games Store, moving from Steam entirely.
