A new official age rating for a Resident Evil PC port<\/strong> has surfaced online, suggesting that a re-release might be coming very soon. Gematsu spotted the European age rating on 18 June and published the findings in an X\/Twitter post.  The age rating page describes the upcoming game as a “PC port of the original Resident Evil game,” and notes that it’s rated PEGI 18 due to graphic violence.<\/p>\n

While the Resident Evil remaster is currently available on Steam, fans have long been awaiting a re-release of the original.<\/p>\n

This finding could hint at not only a Resident Evil PC re-release on Steam, but potentially a Resident Evil Classic Collection featuring re-releases of the original first three games. Horror Game Central on X\/Twitter pointed out that the re-release could be a collab with Limited Game Runs; the company has a showcase scheduled for 20th June, and previously worked with Capcom on Clock Tower. <\/p>\n

Talking to @pl_evil<\/a>, it’s rather interesting that we got the Resident Evil 1 [1996] PEGI Rating and today, @LimitedRunGames<\/a> have announced their upcoming event for the 20th.<\/p>\n

They have recently worked with Capcom on the Clock Tower release. <\/p>\n

In other Resident Evil news, recent leaks have suggested that both Resident Evil 0 and Code Veronica remakes might be in the works<\/a> by Capcom, following the company’s recent trend of remaking older RE titles.
