Throughout the Blast Premier Spring Finals, quite a few players across all teams in the tournament stood up to be counted. Some, more than others. But when we had a brief moment to talk to Blast Premier host James Banks, we decided to ask the CS presenter which players had stood out to him; and unsurprisingly it was two players from the teams in the final.<\/p>\n

“Ok, good question. It’s good to see b1t<\/strong> being back for sure on Team NAVI,” Banks revealed. “Then, I’d say at the same time, I’d say Shiro<\/strong>. He had a couple of bad games for sure. But today [during Semi-Finals] he was like, really influential in that win [over Team Vitality]. It wasn’t just about Donk, it was about the whole team’s performance, and that included Shiro. So, both of them two. B1t and Shiro for sure.”<\/p>\n

Away from the action, it also seems as though James Banks was pleased with the overall turnout across the weekend, especially since this was the first time the UK had hosted a Counter-Strike event on such a scale for 6 years. <\/p>\n

“Yesterday [Friday] was a bit quieter than what I wanted it to be in the Arena, but today [during Semi-Finals] we got to step out there and have a lot more fun and the crowd got wild. They got crazy, and they enjoyed it. Okay, the last game was three maps, but, that first one did at least go to five and it was very exciting for everyone.”<\/p>\n

“I wanted to see this [the UK Crowd] for a long time. I wanted to see what UK Counter-Strike would look like, and I’m hoping the crowd continues to come out in full force and give it their all in the future”.<\/p>\n
