Legendary video game director and auteur Hideo Kojima<\/a> seemingly teased more news for the forthcoming sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach<\/a> is on the way. This was revealed on social media recently, later confirmed by the official social media account fo his studio, Kojima Productions.<\/p>\n

As for the timeline for when excited fans can anticipate this upcoming reveal for Death Stranding 2, they won’t have to wait too long. However, it remains a mystery as to what could be expected from Kojima Productions regarding the next reveal for Death Stranding 2. whether it’s gameplay footage or more teases.<\/p>\n

Kojima Productions debuted a new gameplay trailer for their forthcoming release, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, during January 2024’s PlayStation State of Play<\/a>. In the months following the reveal, the Japanese studio has yet to announce more news and updates, even from Kojima himself, until a new Twitter post from the legendary video game director will be attending the upcoming Tokyo Game Show in person this September.<\/p>\n

While innocuous at first, many had thought that the director would attend as he has in the past to enjoy what’s being showcased. This was not the case, as Kojima Productions posted on Twitter<\/a> that the studio would attend the Tokyo Game Show and host a booth during the convention.<\/p>\n

As the post states that the studio will have plenty of themed merchandise available for attendees to acquire, including “Death Stranding goodies,” they added that there will be “more details” to follow, which many are excited about. This includes the speculation that there may be another reveal or update for Death Stranding 2, which tracks given that the studio had previously debuted new gameplay footage for Death Stranding at the same convention in 2019.<\/p>\n

Likewise, this speculation is further strengthened as PlayStation will also be attending the Tokyo Game Show in September 2024 as they’re listed as exhibitors<\/a> for the upcoming convention. It’s possible that Death Stranding 2 may be a part of a presentation for PlayStation if one is planned, or it could just be pure coincidence, but only time will tell.<\/p>\n
