Here&#8217;s how to unlock The Barricade, as well as how to use this brand-new ability and what upgrades you can get to make it even better.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1i3emn14c3\">How to Unlock The Barricade<\/h2>\n<p>Unlocking the Barricade ability requires going to the Sleep Room and meeting up with the <strong>Engineer <\/strong>&#8211; the same process as unlocking every other Rig in the same.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, your path there is marked with a line on the floor, making your journey quick and simple. All you&#8217;ll need to do to unlock the ability is speak to the Engineer once you reach&nbsp; him, and then offer him one ticket.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve gotten the Barricade ability from the Engineer, you&#8217;ll need to activate it to use it. Go to your Loadout and change your active Rig to &#8216;The Barricade.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Here at the Engineer is also where you can update your Rig if you choose to. (Picture: Red Barrels)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1i3emn14c4\">How to Use The Barricade<\/h2>\n<p>To use the Barricade Rig, you&#8217;ll first need to be<strong> standing in front of a doorway. <\/strong>Whether the door is open or closed, you can use the Barricade Rig. Just stand in place, making sure you&#8217;ve activated the Rig ability by selecting it &#8211; then activate it by<strong> pressing &#8216;X&#8217;<\/strong>. This will place a Barricade right in front of the door.<\/p>\n<p>The Barricade will help you bide time, but it isn&#8217;t foolproof; enemies can get through it with some persistence. You&#8217;ll want to use Barricades to put distance between you and any pursuers, to give you time to hide, or allow you to complete complicated, time-consuming objectives.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1i3emn14c5\">All Barricade Rig Upgrades<\/h2>\n<p>There are seven possible updates to the Barricade Rig. Here they are, in order:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Decreased Cooldown &#8211; <\/strong>Reduces Barricade usage cooldown.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Increased Resistance &#8211;<\/strong> Increases Barricade durability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Quick Installation &#8211; <\/strong>Makes it faster for you to place Barricades.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Incoming Warning &#8211;<\/strong> Pings the location of Barricades broken by enemies.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Friendly Breach &#8211; <\/strong>Breaking down a Barricade will significantly reduce your own cooldown.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Extra Barricade &#8211;<\/strong> Lets you place one more Barricade.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prepared &#8211;<\/strong> Allows you to use the Rig from the very start of the trial.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Table of Contents How to Unlock The Barricade How to Use The Barricade All Barricade Rig Upgrades The Outlast Trials&#8217; newest update, Project Lupara, introduces&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":12834,"featured_media":65698,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"tags":[],"class_list":["post-65697","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-outlast-trials","genre-horror","content_type-guide-tutorial"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 -
