While redshirts were once a bit more rare and often linked to poorly timed injuries or extenuating circumstances, College Football 25 returns in an era where any player can get a redshirt so long as they play fewer than four games that season. If you’re working on Dynasty Mode, that means you can choose to redshirt players that likely wouldn’t play anyways to extend their tenure while they hopefully develop into stronger options. Knowing when to redshirt your recruits will help keep your College Football 25<\/a> Dynasty rolling with long term success. <\/p>\n

How to Redshirt Players in College Football 25 Dynasty Mode<\/h2>\n

When you’re working on a Dynasty Mode<\/a> save, you can easily manage redshirts by going to the Team tab and clicking on Redshirts at the bottom of the menu. This will show you your full team and which players are eligible, based on playtime and whether they’ve already used a redshirt in a previous year.<\/p>\n

Teams start with existing college rosters, and as such a lot of your players may have already used a redshirt. However, new recruits in later seasons or anyone who has yet to use a redshirt should be selectable. <\/p>\n

\"EA<\/p>\n

Just like in college football today, any player given a redshirt can play in up to four games that season. With that in mind, make sure you don’t redshirt players in a position group that’s particularly small. Even if you don’t plan to start them, it’s good to have some accessible backups in case of a poorly timed injury.<\/p>\n

You can give it a few weeks before committing to a redshirt, but be careful with this especially if you’re simulating games. Even if you’ve got a player low on the depth chart, a simulated game might drop them in for a few snaps and risk nullifying your chances at a redshirt. If you submit the redshirt early in the season, you can make sure to avoid that. With a little planning, you can use redshirts in Dynasty Mode<\/a> to keep some of your developing players around for an extra season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
