One of the most easily overlooked is playmaker, but it can setup a huge play just when it looks like you’re out of options. If you’re trying to better understand this mechanic, we’ll go over how to use playmaker in College Football 25 and when it can be most effective.<\/p>\n

How to Use Playmaker in College Football 25<\/h2>\n

Whether you’re a new player or a longtime veteran looking for a refresher, it can be easy to completely miss the power of playmaker while examining the College Football 25 controls<\/a>. There are several passing controls<\/a> to keep in mind, and that’s not even considering the nuances you’ll face during an RPO play<\/a>, but playmaker can be a gamechanger.<\/p>\n

After the ball has been snapped and a passing play is underway, moving the right stick in any direction will use playmaker to reposition the receiver closest to your quarterback<\/strong>. If your targets are all clogged up when you see an open area to the right, move the right stick in the direction of that open area and the receiver should start a new route from their position along that path.<\/p>\n

This can be tricky depending on the play you’re using, as the receiver you’re looking for might not be the one closest to you. If you look at the image above, you’ll notice a black circle around a receiver downfield. When you use the right stick for playmaker, that circle pops up on the receiver that playmaker was used on.<\/p>\n

While it can be an option in just about any situation, you’ll most often be utilizing playmaker in a play where your QB has had to scramble out of the pocket. If the pocket collapses, you might be headed in the direction of a receiver which you can quickly motion to somewhere else by using playmaker.
