Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit is a game that gives users lots of choices about how their game goes. The ending is based on your decisions, and you can also pick just how hard your play through is by selecting an appropriate difficulty level. This creates a truly customizable experience from start to finish.<\/p>\n
But which difficulty level should you choose your first time around? Here are all of the difficulty levels in Into the Pit,<\/strong> and which one you should pick.<\/p>\n
Into the Pit Difficulty Levels<\/h2>\nInto the Pit has two types of difficulty levels.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
There are four difficulty levels available to choose from. You’ll have access to two of those difficulties right off the bat, but you can unlock more. Here are all of the four difficulty levels, and how to unlock them:<\/p>\n

Creepy – <\/strong>This is basically Into the Pit’s “Easy<\/strong>” mode. For the easiest possible experience, this is the difficulty to choose. Available from the start.<\/li>\n
Frightening – <\/strong>This is essentially the game’s “Normal<\/strong>” mode. If you’re looking for average difficulty, this is the way to go. Available from the start. <\/li>\n
Terrifying – <\/strong>This difficulty is unlocked after beating “Frightening,” and serves as the game’s Hard <\/strong>mode.<\/li>\n
Nightmare – <\/strong>Nightmare is the game’s hardest difficulty, and is essentially a “Very Hard<\/strong>” or “Extreme<\/strong>” mode. You’ll unlock it after beating the game on Terrifying. This difficulty is for the most dedicated players who are skilled at avoiding the animatronics and already know the locations of most items.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
You’ll also be able to choose how active and dangerous each animatronic is in the next tab, which is marked with an ‘Advanced’<\/strong> label. Here, you can see each animatronic listed and toggle their danger level accordingly.<\/p>\n
You can’t change your difficulty level mid-playthrough, so be sure to choose one that you’re comfortable with when you start out in both tabs.<\/p>\n
Which Difficulty Level Should You Choose?<\/h2>\n
If you’ve played Into the Pit before, you’ll likely want to opt for one of the higher difficulties for a real challenge. On the other hand, if you want to sit back for an eerie but mostly story-based experience, you can go with Creepy. <\/p>\n
