They&#8217;d previously dropped a full title update in early August, and the smaller <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/ea-sports-college-football\/update-1-008-patch-notes\">College Football 25 update 1.008<\/a> hit just over a week ago with a few key hotfixes to known bugs. The College Football 25 update 1.009 patch notes reveal a series of gameplay tuning changes, key bug fixes, playbook updates, and more.<\/p>\n<h2>College Football 25 Update 1.009 Patch Notes (August 29)<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/R7bc1yD6BFvWujipT6jmT2ucQTM6a1O8s7tWEKod37I\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NmQwODlmZTU2Y2NhLUVBIFNQT1JUU1RNIENvbGxlZ2UgRm9vdGJhbGwgMjUgMjAyNC0wNy0yOCAwMy0wMC0zNC5wbmc\" alt=\"EA SPORTSTM College Football 25 2024-07-28 03-00-34.png (1\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>Players got a quick hotfix last week to address issues with playbook and scheme changes, the position changes screen, and non-conference scheduling in Dynasty Mode. With the deployment of College Football 25 update 1.009, players will see some changes for the Switch Stick and several other gameplay tuning adjustments.<\/p>\n<p>As for new content, players are getting nearly a dozen new formations across a few dozen different <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/ea-sports-college-football\/25-playbooks\">College Football 25 playbooks<\/a>, updates to several with additional empty and short-yardage plays, new Jet Sweep series plays for a few playbooks, new NIL players for multiple teams, and about a dozen new uniforms along with a few uniforms being updated for the 2024 season.<\/p>\n<p>Here are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/ea-sports-college-football\/college-football-25\/news\/college-football-25-campus-huddle-title-update-august-29th-2024?utm_campaign=cf25_hd_ww_ic_soco_twt_title-update-august-29&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;cid=81400&amp;ts=1724939980225\">all the changes outlined<\/a> in the full College Football 25 update 1.009 patch notes:<\/p>\n<h3>GAMEPLAY<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>New Switch Stick Delay option is available. This will be found in your game options menu. The options include:&nbsp;\n<ul>\n<li>No Delay<\/li>\n<li>Slight Delay<\/li>\n<li>Large Delay<\/li>\n<li>Disable Switch Stick<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an issue where players would receive a Speed Boost when using Custom Stems and Smart Routing.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dev Note: <\/strong>We will be working on an additional fix slated for the next title update which will result in further balancing.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Increased the responsiveness of the pass block slider for users and CPU.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an issue where defenders could slip through double teams without the appropriate animation.<\/li>\n<li>General CPU play call and coach suggestion tuning across all modes.&nbsp;\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dev Note:<\/strong> We will monitor feedback on this and make necessary changes in future title updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Decreased the times the CPU calls jet touch pass.<\/li>\n<li>Increased the effectiveness of Pass Committing vs Trick Plays.<\/li>\n<li>Increased the risk of Run Committing from Man Coverage.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an issue where players could continue to spin when using a conservative ball carrier coach adjustment.<\/li>\n<li>Adjusted the AI Logic to significantly reduce the chances of receiving a roughing the kicker penalty on punts and field goals.<\/li>\n<li>Increased the chance for Defensive Linemen to sniff out HB Screen plays<\/li>\n<li>Added 11 new formations to teams&rsquo; playbooks including:\n<ul>\n<li>Singleback Wing Slot Over (Uconn, Charlotte)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Ace Double Wing (Ball State)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Doubles Y Off Stack (Florida, Louisville, Illinois)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Trips Over Y Off (Cincinnati)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Full House Twins Over (NMSU, UNLV, Option, Spread Option)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Strong Tight (Liberty, Louisville, UTEP, Rice, Kennesaw State)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Bunch Open (Missouri)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Ace Heavy Overload (Ball state)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Wing Slot Over (Florida, Texas A&amp;M, Michigan, Kennesaw State)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Weak Slot Over (Texas A&amp;M, Cincinnati)<\/li>\n<li>Pistol Strong Trips Over (Florida, Multiple, Cincinnati)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Added new Jet Sweep series plays under center for Utah, Bowling Green, Kentucky<\/li>\n<li>Added more formations and plays to multiple teams&rsquo; playbooks, specifically empty and short-yardage formations (will continue through future title updates)<\/li>\n<li>Changed default personnel for Liberty&rsquo;s pistol formations to have 2 HBs instead of an HB and a TE\/FB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>DYNASTY<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Enabled the ability to edit ratings for non NIL players and recruits.<\/li>\n<li>Further Super Sim tuning to reduce completion percentages across the country, especially limiting quarterbacks completing more than 70% of their passes.<\/li>\n<li>Introduced new AI Super Sim timing logic for in-game simming. Play time will now scale to the selected quarter length.\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Dev Note:<\/strong> This applies to Super Sim &#8211; Normal and Super Sim &#8211; Fast settings<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Enabled Mass Subs for Online and Offline Dynasty games when playing against the AI. You will be able to sub in either your entire 2nd unit (if your starters are in) or your entire starting group (if your 2nd unit is in).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Further tuning of Awards systems.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an issue with the Stat Display for Returner of the Year.<\/li>\n<li>Updated data for Kent State and Oklahoma State Coaching Staff\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dev Note:<\/strong> You will be required to start a new Dynasty for the updated staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an issue where the Broken Vertebrae injury was incorrectly labeled as a Strained Back.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>COLLEGE ULTIMATE TEAM<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Player Upgrade &amp; Refund animations are no longer misaligned.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an issue that was causing Milestone Progress to display incorrectly. You would see two different milestone totals at times depending on where in the Challenge Sequence you viewed.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an issue that was causing the filter drop down for &lsquo;My Rank&rsquo; and &lsquo;Top 100&rsquo; to remain on the screen after navigating away in Solo Battles.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a navigation issue on the Live Events tab that was giving users error messages after selecting &lsquo;Objectives.<\/li>\n<li>When viewing Team Chemistry on the Upgrade Tab of the Single Item Viewer, the required coin amount to unlock the Chem will be displayed. Previously, the amount was only shown on the confirmation popup.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an issue with Sets that gave users server errors after trying to add an Item Set.<\/li>\n<li>&lsquo;Open Next Pack&rsquo; is now available during the Fantasy Pack Flow. Hopefully it&#8217;s a little quicker to open up some of those rewards from Season 1.<\/li>\n<li>Cleaned up truncated text on various screens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>ROAD TO GLORY MODE<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Gave players the ability to audible regardless of what position you are in when lined up on the field.<\/li>\n<li>Re-tuned starting attributes for all HB archetypes, which includes an increase to speed, agility, change of direction, and stamina (to lower the times you get pulled from the game after a big run)<\/li>\n<li>Re-tuned starting attributes for all CB archetypes, which includes an increase to speed, stamina, acceleration, and agility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>PRESENTATION AND UI UPDATES<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Introducing new uniforms for Arkansas State, UAB, Western Kentucky, Louisiana Monroe, Tennessee, ECU, West Virginia, UMass, Charlotte, Ohio State (jersey swoosh will only turn diamond when in playoff games), Colorado State, Minnesota<\/li>\n<li>Updated uniform pieces for 2024 season: Charlotte, Cal, Tulsa, Miami (OH)<\/li>\n<li>Included New NIL Players for multiple teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>ROAD TO CFP<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Additional Tier Rebalancing to reflect the 5 Tier format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Server maintenance began around 6am ET on Thursday, August 29th as this College Football 25 title update deployed. That was promptly completed just after 10am ET, and all online modes as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/ea-sports-college-football\/25-team-builder-logged-in-elsewhere-error\">Team Builder<\/a> should now be working as normal.<\/p>\n<p>The next major College Football 25 title update likely won&#8217;t arrive until late in September, but hotfixes could hit soon if this latest deployment causes any issues.
