The best Counter-Strike 2 (CS2)<\/a> teams from across North and South America have been competing their hearts out to earn a spot in the Americas RMR event leading up to the Perfect World Shanghai Major.<\/p>\n

The Shanghai Major is the second-ever CS2 Major Championship, boasting a massive $1.25 million prize pool. It takes place from 30 November to 15 December 2024, and is considered the crowing event to finish off the first year of CS2 esports in style.<\/p>\n

To get there, however, every single team needs to make their way through an RMR event. We’ve already covered the European RMR teams, and now, it’s time for the Americas RMR teams, as Open and Closed Qualifiers have completed.<\/p>\n

Eight teams were directly invited to the Americas RMR thanks to their positions on Valve’s Regional Standings, and eight made their way through the North or South American qualifiers.<\/p>\n
