Competitive and casual players will always have different ways of playing Apex Legends<\/a>. While the goal it ultimately the same (to win), the way each player engages with the game will always be unique. That said, if you’re looking to get that competitve edge in-game, then it’s worth taking some notes from the very best.<\/p>\n

At the recent ALGS Year 4 Split 2 Playoffs<\/a>, in Mannheim, Germany, pros were contending with a very new meta. It was one that saw a lot of team compositions get a shake-up, and meant some pros had to get comfotable with a new playstyle pretty quickly.<\/p>\n

While Bangalore was the most popular pick throughout the tournament, with a 79.06% pick rate according to apexlegendsstatus.com<\/a>, there was a far more surprising Legend dominating the scene.<\/p>\n

Top 5 Legend Pick Rates at ALGS Year 4 Split 2 Playoffs<\/h2>\n

  1. Bangalore<\/strong> — 79.06%<\/li>\n
  2. Crypto<\/strong> — 71.48%<\/li>\n
  3. Wattson <\/strong>— 50.86% <\/li>\n
  4. Newcastle<\/strong> — 38.91% <\/li>\n
  5. Pathfinder<\/strong> — 19.45% <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    With a 71.48% pick rate, Crypto was the second most picked Legend throughout the ALGS Year 4 Split 2 Playoffs. Due to his improved Recon abilities, Crypro was a meta popular pick among IGLs, though this meta didn’t go down well with everyone.<\/p>\n

    Speaking to GINX, Alliance’s John “Hakis” Håkansson<\/a> said of the Crypto meta, “Crypto is a very, very boring character. It’s like the character is made for bad IGLs to just get all the information in the world to do better.
