Aberration is the latest DLC map for ARK: Survival Ascended, and along with its new features and the tamable Yi Ling, it introduces the exciting Bob’s Tall Tales content. One highlight is Cosmo, an adorable spider that serves as a new shoulder mount.

Cosmo isn’t just a cute addition to your shoulder in Aberration’s harsh environment; it also offers unique abilities to assist you in your journey. Let’s take a moment to explore all the abilities and uses that Cosmo brings to ARK: Survival Ascended Aberration.

Once you’ve tamed a Cosmo, it becomes equipable from your Hotbar, offering two different modes: Shooter Mode and Swing Mode. You can switch between these modes by pressing the “R” key, which you’ll use frequently as you navigate Aberration. Let’s take a closer look at each ability below.

In Shooter Mode, Cosmo fires goo projectiles that deal significant damage, which appear to scale with Cosmo’s level. These goo projectiles also have an impressive range, making them useful for targeting smaller enemies from a distance.

Swing Mode is where Cosmo truly shines. In this mode, you can use Cosmo to traverse Aberration’s large expanses quickly by shooting a web strand that latches onto walls. Using a momentum-based physics system, you can swing across rock faces and structures.

However, this can be risky since Cosmo’s web charge depletes quickly, potentially leaving you to fall. To avoid fatal drops, consider using a Yi Ling or a glider suit to ensure a safe descent if the web charge runs out. Also, be cautious not to swing into hazardous areas, like radiation zones, which can quickly drain your health before you can escape or land safely.

As you can see, Cosmo is not only an adorable shoulder mount but also a highly useful companion in Aberration, offering unique traversal options to explore the map’s hidden secrets. If you have Bob’s Tall Tales, Cosmo is a tame you’ll want by your side in ARK: Survival Ascended Aberration.

Aberration is the latest DLC map for ARK: Survival Ascended, and along with its new features and the tamable Yi Ling, it introduces the exciting…

["post-67347","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-ark-survival-ascended","genre-survival","content_type-guide-tutorial

Cosmo Abilities And Uses In ARK Survival Ascended Aberration
