How To Tame A Basilisk In ARK Survival Ascended Aberration

Basilisks are large, snake-like creatures that move quickly and are formidable predators in the wild. However, taming them can be straightforward if you follow the right method, making the process easier and safer for anyone looking to add a Basilisk to their team.

Unlike traditional taming methods, Baslisks require a fertilized Rock Drake Egg to be tamed. The challenge is getting the Basilisk to eat the egg while it’s aggroed towards you. This is where our taming method using a “taming trap” proves useful.

To set up the taming trap, you need a small tame or shoulder pet, a foundation structure, and the Rock Drake eggs. Start by placing your small tame or shoulder pet on the ground and command it to stay still. Next, place the foundation on top of the pet, which will hide and protect it. Then, place two Rock Drake eggs on top of the foundation.

After setting up the trap, aggro the Basilisk and lead it toward the trap. The Basilisk will focus on the small creature underneath the foundation and attempt to bite it. During this process, it will also consume the eggs placed on top, leading to its immediate taming.
