An earlier hotfix had arrived just after the game went live globally, but this is the first significant update featuring fixes for several user-reported issues. Thankfully, we now have official NBA 2K25 update 1.005 patch notes detailing everything that&#8217;s been addressed and when the next major update will arrive.<\/p>\n<h2>NBA 2K25 Update 1.005 Patch Notes (September 13)<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/HUkCZgkbYrUa6nxrPd-f92f2OXBB9gmQyXzmJRxM6WU\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NmU0NmEyZjQwMzBkLU5CQSAySzI1IDIwMjQtMDktMDQgMTctNDgtMzgucG5n\" alt=\"NBA 2K25 2024-09-04 17-48-38\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>While this is technically NBA 2K25 update 1.005 on PS5, 2K has also dubbed this New Gen v1.4 to encompass PS5, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/nba-2k25\/controls\">Xbox Series X|S<\/a>, and PC. Ahead of a scheduled deployment in the early morning on September 13, <a href=\"https:\/\/nba.2k.com\/2k25\/patch-updates\/\">2K unveiled patch notes<\/a> explaining everything they&#8217;ve addressed so far.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the complete NBA 2K25 New Gen v1.4 patch notes:<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE CITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Addressed user-reported framerate issues when playing games in ELITE\/RISE\/Beach Courts.<\/li>\n<li>A number of fixes\/improvements made to the Squad Finder feature.<\/li>\n<li>The Shut It Down feature will now function as expected when playing Streetball Co-Op games.<\/li>\n<li>Resolved an exploit in The Track that allowed users to achieve unrealistic times.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a disconnect that could occur when playing games with NBA players in MyCOURT.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GAMEPLAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Addressed a user-reported situation where players were prevented from being substituted when on extended hot streaks.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an issue that would cause the Takeover meter to drop down to Tier 1 if already at Tier 5 when the Team Chemistry meter is filled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>MyNBA<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arenas will now appear correctly when playing with All-Time teams at home in MyNBA.<\/li>\n<li>Expansion teams will now have a proper floor when playing NBA Cup games in MyNBA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>MyTEAM<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed a user-reported disconnect that could occur at the start of Showdown and Salary Cap games.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PC<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed an issue that prevented the &ldquo;Sim To Next Appearance&rdquo; option from activating as expected in MyCAREER when playing on monitors with a particularly high refresh rate.<\/li>\n<li>Resolved an issue that could cause long hangs during the initial launch sequence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to outlining the fixes in NBA 2K25 update 1.005, the patch notes release also included a developer note stressing that they are hearing community feedback and working to address <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/nba-2k25\/review\">the most user-impacting issues<\/a> first.
