At the top of the list for many will be the difficulty options, and they&#8217;ve chosen to include five different presets:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Storyteller:<\/strong> Here for the story.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keeper:<\/strong> A balanced combat experience that emphasizes party composition and equipment choices over reaction times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adventurer:<\/strong> A balanced experience that places equal emphasis on combat, party composition, and equipment choices.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Underdog:<\/strong> Here to be pushed to the limit, requiring strategic planning and tactical decisions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nightmare:<\/strong> Overwhelming battles that give no quarter. Requires a mastery of combat, equipment, skills, and game mechanics to survive. Selecting Nightmare cannot be undone without starting a new playthrough.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From narrative focused to strategically stressful, players can choose the type of challenge that fits their own skill level to ensure they can enjoy Veilguard. There&#8217;s also an Unbound option which allows all individual difficulty settings to be customized.<\/p>\n<h2>Controller &amp; UI Customization<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/c66u7p5wq2xf-vSXJHi3dmgFbTxQR5N64ehjXMpFi20\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NzA1NjJlZjgxOWI5LTExMWltYWdlLnBuZw\" alt=\"111image.png (1\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re intending to play with a keyboard or controller, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature multiple custom control settings on all platforms. Gameplay controls can be remapped, cameras and aiming have sensitivity sliders, and you can even customize stick deadzones and trigger deadzones.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the button holds can be changed to a tap or used differently without a hold, and Veilguard will have multiple combat assists that can be enabled or disabled. They&#8217;ve also chosen not to include quick time events in the game, though rapid input sequences are utilized for some melee combos. Quick and precise timing will not be required for story progression, particularly if you&#8217;re on the Storyteller difficulty setting.<\/p>\n<p>As for the game&#8217;s core user interface, the majority of HUD elements can be hidden. Persistent dot will be an option to have a dot at the center of the screen, and there are plenty of visual cues that ensure no game-critical information is conveyed through sound alone. Exploration challenge can also be adjusted by changing object glint visibility and distance, objective marker visibility, and waypoint visibility.<\/p>\n<p>While some players will likely just choose the most standard experience and dive into Dragon Age: The Veilguard, anyone in need of an adjustment should be able to make it.
