A month following the Early Access launch<\/a> of the co-op action RPG Towerborne in September 2024, the first major update found its way to PC via Steam this month. Titled the Duskveil update, developer Stoic introduced several balance changes, optimizations, and gameplay adjustments and may have added a few spooky surprises in store.<\/p>\n

The developer detailed these new changes and content additions in the official patch notes via the game’s Steam page<\/a>, citing that the Duskveil update is not just “a seasonal shift—with loads of spooky new gear — but also a fresh wave of enhancements to enrich your adventure.” The team at Stoic is “thrilled to deliver” on their ‘promise of regular content” that has been added to Towerborne; it comes as “a mysterious time has crept over the Belfry, creating a rather “chillingly delightful atmosphere” that makes see unwanted visitors seeping into their world.<\/p>\n

The Duskveil update welcomes a few additions to Towerborne, including replayable Discovery Missions, where players can replay “randomized missions” in each biome to “play discovery missions” for more danger levels to be unlocked. As detailed in the patch notes, “While these missions won’t award Writs or unlock new areas, they offer variety and a fresh challenge until new content arrives.”<\/p>\n
