The HD Collection version of the game was created for more modern consoles but ramped down the quality and graphics significantly, resulting in a modified Silent Hill experience that wasn&#8217;t what most expected. While the fog was still present, it was much less visible than in the original game, resulting in many fan complaints.<\/p>\n<p>Fans may have complained about the lack of fog in the Silent Hill HD Collection back in 2012, but many are choosing to download the no fog mod for the Silent Hill 2 remake &#8211; which provides a similar effect &#8211; after over a decade. This is likely for a few reasons: it&#8217;s simply one of few mods currently available for the title, and downloading the mod will no doubt will make it much easier for dedicated fans to take those coveted artsy screenshots.
