In Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Max meets up with Vinh, who claims he can’t unlock his phone due to a “hangover.” Max will need to take things into her own hands to figure out the code and unlock Vinh’s device. Here’s how to find Vinh’s phone passcode <\/strong>and take a look in his phone.<\/p>\n

Where to Meet Vinh<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the Living timeline, locate Vinh in his office in the admin building. You’ll have a short discussion with him as you try to figure out his phone passcode. He mentions the passcode is the year a famous “magician scientist” died, even though he doesn’t remember what the passcode is – or so he claims.<\/p>\n

So, it seems you’ll have to figure it out yourself, one way or another. We can use this clue about the “magician scientist” to help us.<\/p>\n

You’ll meet up with Vinh in the cafe and have a discussion with him as Max.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Using Your Favor<\/h2>\n

Then, swap to the Dead timeline and head back to his office, where you’ll have another chat – and a drink – with him. If you decided to bring back his package<\/strong> in Chapter 1, you can use your promised favor to just ask for the passcode – and he’ll give it to you, no further questions asked. This is the simplest way to get the code, but there are other options in case you don’t want to use your favor here. Using it is entirely optional, whether or not you brought Vinh his package at the beginning.<\/p>\n

How To Find When Jack Parson Died<\/h2>\n

If you didn’t bring back that package<\/strong>, or you just feel inclined to save your special favor, Vinh will still give you a hint. The magician scientist, he says, is named Jack Parsons.<\/p>\n

So, you’ll want to head over to the nearby library and search the books. There are quite a few books in this area – it is <\/em>a library, after all – but only a single hardcover is of use to you.<\/p>\n

One of the books, situated on the shelf near the door to Vinh’s office, is called the History of the Occult;<\/strong> inside, you’ll find a passage about Jack Parsons. Of note, it mentions that he was born in 1952<\/strong>… bingo! Now we have our code. Head back to the Living timeline and to Vinh’s office, where you’ll find Vinh’s phone, but no Vinh in sight this time around. Strange.<\/p>\n

Vinh’s Phone Code<\/h2>\n

So, we’ve deciphered that Vinh’s phone code is 1952<\/strong>, whether you got that code through using your favor or by looking in the library. Now, it’s time to actually use it. <\/p>\n

Type in the code you found on Vinh’s phone after deciding to “Snoop” and then “Unlock” instead of Examine. Once you type in the correct passcode – whether Vinh gave it to you, or you found it in the book – you’ll be able to access Vinh’s phone and figure out his secret.<\/p>\n
