Fntastic has announced that they have cancelled their kickstarter for an “Escape Factory project” and have instead started development on an “action-horror prop hunt game called ITEMS,” all within the same statement.<\/p>\n
The developer is perhaps notoriously known for The Day Before<\/a>, a multiplayer survival horror extraction shooter that launched on December 7, 2023 in early access, only to announce the studio’s shut down just four days later. Fntastic then reemerged in September 2024, with a “plan for recovery.” <\/p>\n The studio was reportedly working on a game called “Escape Factory,” which was being funded through Kickstarter with a $20,000 goal. However, the project raised just $3,146, and Fntastic has now announced that they’re shifting focus onto a different project. In a statement posted to X<\/a> (formerly Twitter), the studio said, “We have received many requests for a prop hunt game (please also see the previous message with the poll), and after careful analysis and discussion with the team, we have decided that our Escape Factory project has not generated enough interest.”<\/p>\n
