Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has explained some major plans for their gaming arm at Xbox, and players can expect more Xbox gaming experiences outside the ecosystem. This strategy of expanding the accessibility of Xbox exclusives on other platforms began with Grounded<\/a>, Hi-Fi Rush<\/a>, Pentiment, and Sea of Thieves<\/a>, all available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms, which looks to continue in the future.<\/p>\n

Nadella commented on making a bigger push for more Xbox games available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles in the latest Shareholder Letter<\/a> over the weekend. As expected, there’s been no confirmation which Xbox games are next in line to be heading to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles, but online discussions have begun on which games players would like to see next.<\/p>\n

Accompanying the 2024 Annual Report, published over the weekend, Nadella looks to bring more Xbox games to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms as Microsoft plans on continuing “to extend [Xbox] content to new platforms.” In light of the launches and successes of Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, and Sea of Thieves on the aforementioned platforms, more are reportedly on the way; however, there’s no word from Nadella or Xbox on which games are crossing over.<\/p>\n

“We are bringing great games to more people on more devices. With our acquisition of Activision Blizzard King, which closed October 2023, we’ve added hundreds of millions of players to our ecosystem,” <\/em><\/strong>Nadella elaborated in the Shareholder Letter. In addition to acquiring Activision Blizzard King<\/a> and releasing four incredibly popular Xbox games to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles, Microsoft is prepared to expand Xbox’s player base by bringing more Xbox games to these platforms soon.<\/p>\n
