The countdown to the official global release of the upcoming superhero team-based PvP shooter Marvel Rivals<\/a> has officially begun, heroes! A countdown is currently live on the Marvel Rivals website, which ticks down the days until the launch of consoles and PCs on 6th December 2024<\/a>.<\/span>

In celebration of the Marvel Rivals countdown going live, developer NetEase Games took to its official social media platforms to unveil savage and shiny new looks for two of its playable characters. There’s also confirmation that the developer are making new announcements daily in the lead-up to the game’s launch<\/a>, which means new content.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, what is this new announcement that was made on the Marvel Rivals social media accounts?<\/strong> Well, when the countdown went live, several new posts were published on the Marvel Rivals social media accounts; however, two in particular are regarding a specific hulking character and a prominent “genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.”<\/span><\/p>\n

These posts unveiled new Hulk and Iron Man skins that will debut for Marvel Rivals at launch, drawing inspiration from their respective comic book runs. Hulk’s “Green Scar” skin is based on The Green Scar, who first appeared in Hulk (1999) #92<\/a>, while Iron Man’s Superior Iron Man skin is from one of its popular comic runs, Superior Iron Man, more specifically appearing in Superior Iron Man (2014) #1<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to both posts that revealed these new skins, they’ll be available in-game on the above-mentioned launch date for consoles and PCs; however, there’s no exact mention of how these new skins can be acquired. As we can anticipate more daily news announcements in the lead to the Marvel Rivals launch, it has yet to remain if these new announcements include new heroes joining the roster, like one character that had recently been teased, the Fist of Khonshu himself, Moon Knight<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
