With the continuing success of Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 remake, many fans are wondering when we’ll get more details about the franchise’s next main-line game, Resident Evil 9. According to leaks from Biohazard Declassified, who has released accurate leaks regarding Resident Evil games in the past, a playtester has shared some pretty substantial information about Resident Evil 9. Allegedly, these playtests took place in April and September, featuring a Jill section in an Abandoned Hospital and a Leon Forest section respectively.

The leaks claim that the game will take place four years after Resident Evil: Village, featuring Jill Valentine and Leon S. Kennedy as its main characters with Chris Redfield and Barry Burton as supporting characters. The antagonist is a character known as “Mr. Simon.” The enemies are, you guessed it, mostly Zombies. The Zombies in this game worship the moon and have “moon tattoos” on their arms.

Plot-wise, Jill and Leon explore the island where Eveline was created, with both of them becoming infected with the Megamycete. The game will “close the Resident 7 and Village story with the Megamycete,” effectively wrapping up the story arc that has defined the past two games.
