The Marvel Rivals global countdown continues to tick away towards the game’s full release for consoles and PCs this December<\/a>. On the back of a major crossover collaboration with several Marvel Games titles and Fortnite<\/a> announced recently, players can anticipate seeing more Marvel Rivals content appearing elsewhere.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, somewhere across the galaxy, a well-known Guardian was next in line as developer NetEase Games revealed its latest news announcement (h\/t Miller Ross)<\/a> involving this powerful, empathic character. This accompanied a brand new Rivals Assemble video for the Strategist classed hero, Mantis<\/a>, which a fricken awesome new cosmetic that will be available for her in the future when Marvel Rivals launches.<\/span><\/p>\n

We’re 12 days deep into the global countdown to the official launch of NetEase Games’ superhero team-based PvP shooter as the developer continues to provide daily news announcements for all its playable heroes. This included a new playable hero in Moon Knight, available at launch for free, alongside plenty of cosmetic reveals for a myriad of characters, and Mantis now joins the line-up.<\/span><\/p>\n

The developer posted across the social media channels on 14th November 2024 that this empathic Guardian has a fricken awesome skin awaiting her upon this game’s release. And akin to her fellow Guardians, her latest cosmetic is adapted from the character’s live-action feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)<\/a>, specifically in her last known appearance.<\/span><\/p>\n

And yes, like Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Peter Quill \/ Star-Lord, Mantis’ newest cosmetic skin is from a suit the character donned in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3<\/a>. However, it remains unclear how all these recently announced skins can be obtained, which it may be from completing Galacta’s Quest missions or from the in-game store which we’ll update these pages once clarification has been announced.<\/span><\/p>\n
