It’s been a treat to watch the 16 fantastic Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports<\/a> teams from North and South America compete at the Shanghai Major<\/a> American RMR event in China, where only seven teams would go on to qualify for the main event of the competition, which begins on 30 November 2024.<\/p>\n

Some crazy stuff has happened, from Team Liquid’s Twistzz suffering from mouse issues<\/a> that an admin might have broken to Brazillian side paiN Gaming qualifying for the Shanghai Major in the best way possible with a 13-0 map win over 9z.<\/p>\n

Shanghai Major American RMR Results<\/h2>\n

The final matches of the American RMR event finished on Friday, 15 November 2024, with the top seven teams now determined. At the top of the pack, Wildcard Gaming beat Team Liquid in the opening match on Inferno, then paiN Gaming on Nuke, and then 9z Team with a 2-0 to go up 3-0 and top the leaderboard. <\/p>\n

The Brazilian side, MIBR, had the same excellent success, beating KRÜ Esports on Vertigo, then Imperial on Nuke, before smashing Complexity 2-0 to go up 3-0 in the American RMR and qualify for the main event of the Shanghai Major.<\/p>\n

Team Liquid bounced back from their opening match loss against Wildcard Gaming and went 3-1 to qualify for the main event of the major. paiN Gaming and Complexity pulled off the same score, which left us with three spots remaining. <\/p>\n

The final day of the competition saw M80 beat BESTIA 2-1, Imperial beat Red Candis 2-0, and FURIA sweep 9z with a 2-0 score. Then, in the 7th-place decider, FURIA beat M80 2-0 to secure a solid spot.<\/p>\n
