Despite a strong lineup (on paper), Saudi Arabian organization Team Falcons’ Counter-Strike 2 (CS2)<\/a> squad has had a VERY poor run, with only a 33.3% win rate in the past three months, and dropping all the way down to rank 26th on HLTV’s World Rankings.<\/p>\n

We already knew that roster changes were being planned, as their coach (5-time Major Championship winner) Danny “zonic” Sørensen said, “Changes are needed”<\/a> in a post-match interview at the BLAST Fall Final 2024<\/a>. For their shot at qualifying for the Perfect World Shanghai Major, Team Falcons got the GOAT of CS and AWPer supreme,  Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev, on loan.<\/p>\n

Team Falcons had a disappointing run at the Shanghai Major European RMR A <\/a>event and failed to qualify. Shortly after their Major Championship hopes got crushed, the organization announced that s1mple’s loan would not be extended and that they were moving another three players to the bench.<\/p>\n
