Last weekend, two more character spotlights were featured in the Rivals Assemble video, which accompanied their respective daily news announcements<\/a> from Marvel Rivals developer NetEase Games<\/a>. As we’re getting closer and closer to the official release of the superhero team-based PvP shooter, two widely popular Marvel Rivals<\/a> characters received new cosmetic skin reveals that were the “talk of the town” online.<\/p>\n

Hela and Wanda Maximoff \/ Scarlet Witch were the characters specifically for which each character’s skin design was highly praised, and in the case of the Scarlet Witch, many had hoped the developer would draw inspiration from the character’s live-action appearances. So, which would players choose: becoming the Goddess of Death or showcasing how “a mother’s love is so pure” in these new cosmetic skins heading to Marvel Rivals?<\/p>\n

Last week was a significant week for the superhero team-based PvP shooter, which began with the first Developer Vision update<\/a>, detailing what players can anticipate when the game launches in December 2024. Additionally, the latest playable hero, Clint Barton \/ Hawkeye<\/a>, joined the growing roster, and we got a first look at the Birnin T’Challa map<\/a> available at launch, but to close out the week, two more heroes received new cosmetic skins for players to acquire.<\/p>\n

The Goddess of Death, Hela, was first revealed on social media, alongside her Rivals Assemble video<\/a> on 23rd November 2024, in which players can “unleash Hela’s wrath and watch their enemies fall” with her new cosmetic skin. The “Goddess of Death,” Hela’s cosmetic skin<\/a> is heading to Marvel Rivals, whose design is  based on its appearance in the pages of Thor (1966) #354<\/a>, in which “she has fought to claim the soul of Odin and with it, control of Asgard.”<\/p>\n

The following day (24th November 2024) belonged to the Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff, who not only received an accompanying Rivals Assemble video<\/a> but an equally stunning cosmetic skin that “transcends alternate realities and different timelines.” The design of the Scarlet Witch’s new cosmetic skin will be familiar to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as it’s primarily inspired by one of the character’s most prolific live-action appearances in the 2022 film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We’re already familiar that every cosmetic skin designed and planned for Marvel Rivals has been categorized into various categories, namely festive holiday skins, popular themes, the Imperial Protocol, Comic Classics, and the MCU, which Hela and Scarlet Witch’s skins are categorized in the latter two categories. While the jury remains out on how players will be able to obtain them, we can only speculate that they can be acquired either through the in-game Store, the Season 0 Battle Pass, or as a Galacta’s Quest mission reward, but we’ll confirm this once more details have been made public.<\/p>\n
