This challenge is considered one of the hardest in the game, pushing your skills to the limit &#8211; but completing it is the key to getting the game&#8217;s final few achievements. To tackle this daunting task, you&#8217;ll need to dive into a single-player lobby on the full Sunny Meadows map. Here&#8217;s how to survive the terror and conquer the challenge step by step.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Phasmophobia Apocalypse Challenge Setup &amp; Difficulty<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/5bKMj1OOsi2NUU5z5qneaVKiv9wd6ebUolTaTu9FBE0\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NzRmODI5YmFhODc4LWFwb2NhbHlwc2UucG5n\" alt=\"apocalypse challenge badges\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">There are three tiers of the Apocalypse Challenge.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Completing the Apocalypse challenge requires you to successfully identify the ghost on Sunny Meadows and survive, but you&#8217;ll have to be in a single-player lobby. You&#8217;ll also have to complete all three optional objectives, and earn a ghost photo for your Journal.<\/p>\n<p>To make things even harder, you won&#8217;t have any Sanity, and you can&#8217;t increase it with Sanity Pills, either.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the custom difficulty you choose, you&#8217;ll earn a different badge tier:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6x &#8211; Bronze (Apocalypse I)<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>10x &#8211; Silver (Apocalypse II)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>15x &#8211; Gold (Apocalypse III)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you complete a higher tier, you&#8217;ll also complete every tier beneath it; so to complete all the challenges at once, you&#8217;ll need to complete Apocalypse III, or the Gold Challenge.<\/p>\n<p>This challenge is so difficult because Sunny Meadows is a huge map, and turning up the difficulty level makes the game a lot harder. Not only does the ghost hunt more often, but you&#8217;ll also get less evidence.<\/p>\n<h2>Phasmophobia Apocalypse Challenge Rewards<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/MfDfgNxKtg826Hg8WoB_S2WeG_3TwwwJ4TbIDtqWYxw\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMy82NzRmODI5YmE5MmJkLXRyb3BoaWVzLnBuZw\" alt=\"apocalypse reward trophy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">You&#8217;ll get a reward for completing each tier of the Apocalypse Challenge.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>For completing the challenge, you&#8217;ll get a Trophy for each level you complete &#8211; so there&#8217;s a <strong>Bronze Apocalypse Trophy,<\/strong> a <strong>Silver Apocalypse Trophy,<\/strong> and a <strong>Gold Apocalypse Trophy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll also get a shiny new <strong>ID card<\/strong> and badge!<\/p>\n<h2>How To Complete Phasmophobia Apocalypse Challenge<\/h2>\n<h3>Sunny Meadows Map<\/h3>\n<p>Sunny Meadows is a huge map, so finding the ghost here can be pretty difficult. With its labyrinthine hallways and numerous rooms, the search can feel overwhelming &#8211; and to make things even harder, you can&#8217;t finish this challenge on the Restricted version of the map. You&#8217;ve got to go all in and brave the whole thing. Patience and careful searching are essential as you navigate this large map.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To find the ghost room, it&#8217;s a good idea to look around to listen for sounds; if you hear the ghost interacting with an object, you can head in that direction. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/phasmophobia\/emf-reader\">Using an EMF reader<\/a> can help point you in the right direction, too, especially if you&#8217;ve already got a lead.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/phasmophobia\/thermometer-how-to-use\">Holding out a Thermometer<\/a> and checking for temperatures that are nearly freezing &#8211; or at least lower than in other rooms &#8211; can also help you pinpoint exactly where the ghost is.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve found the ghost room, you&#8217;ll need to set up Video Cameras, throw down some DOTS Projectors and other equipment, and pay careful attention &#8211; the ghost can change rooms, so if you begin to get no evidence, the ghost may have moved.<\/p>\n<h3>Apocalypse Challenge Equipment<\/h3>\n<p>You should ensure that you have all <strong>Tier III <\/strong>items before heading into Sunny Meadows and starting the Apocalypse Challenge. Otherwise, the challenge will likely be extremely difficult; while Tier I and II items are certainly functional, they take longer to give evidence and are thus riskier.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll want to bring along some<strong> Head Gear<\/strong> as a light source, along with the standard loadout of evidence-seeking items (DOTS, Spirit Box, Ghost Writing Book, etc). Don&#8217;t forget to bring along some <strong>Incense<\/strong> and a <strong>Lighter<\/strong> so you can protect yourself in case of a hunt.<\/p>\n<h3>Strategies for Identifying The Ghost<\/h3>\n<p>Before trying to identify the ghost, you&#8217;ll want to<strong> locate any nearby hiding and looping spots <\/strong>once you&#8217;ve found its location. This ensures you have somewhere to go if the ghost hunts &#8211; and since you have 0% Sanity throughout this challenge, this can happen very early on.<\/p>\n<p>When the ghost does hunt, you&#8217;ll want to <strong>pay attention to its behavior, <\/strong>including its <strong>speed, blink rate, and special behaviors,<\/strong> since you&#8217;ll need more than just evidence to identify the ghost in this mode.
