{"id":70105,"date":"2024-12-12T15:08:34","date_gmt":"2024-12-12T15:08:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/game-awards-3-announcement"},"modified":"2024-12-12T17:48:47","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T17:48:47","slug":"game-awards-3-announcement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/game-awards-3-announcement","title":{"rendered":"Will Half-Life 3 Be Announced At The Game Awards?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rumors are swirling around that <strong>Half-Life 3 will be announced at tonight&#8217;s The Game Awards <\/strong>after industry insider Jason Schreier said on the Kinda Funny Games livestream that The Game Awards would feature at least two games that will have players saying, &#8216;Holy sh*t!, I can&#8217;t believe this thing is here!'&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While nothing is confirmed, Nima Zeighami suggested on X\/Twitter that it could happen: &#8220;The rumor I heard, and I am not kidding here, is that<strong> Gabe will be there to announce Half-Life 3.<\/strong>&#8221; Zeighami is referring to Gabe Newell, one of Valve&#8217;s founders who funded the Half-Life franchise.<\/p>\n<p>However, Zeighami noted that he doesn&#8217;t actually believe the rumor &#8211; although there&#8217;s still a chance that it could&#8217;ve been one of the games Schreier was hinting at. The original game came out in 1998, followed by the release of Half-Life: Opposing Force in 1999.<\/p>\n<p>Two expansion packs were released in 2001, followed by Half-Life 2 in 2004, and, most recently, a VR title: Half-Life: Alyx. Ever since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/half-life-alyx\">Half-Life: Alyx&#8217;s release<\/a>, fans have been waiting to hear what&#8217;s next for the timeless franchise.<\/p>\n<p>The Game Awards go live tonight, 12 December, at 7:30&#8239;PM ET.&nbsp; Fans will get to catch all of the big reveals, including several major new game announcements and more.
