Elden Ring<\/a> fans will be “eating good”<\/strong><\/em> in 2025 as developer FromSoftware announced a new IP set in the world of The Lands Between. Elden Ring Nightreign<\/a> is “a standalone adventure within the Elden Ring universe, crafted to offer players a new gaming experience by reimagining the game’s core design.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Following the premiere of the official Gameplay Trailer at this year’s The Game Awards, which teased a handful of characters and themes that lore theorists can sink their teeth into, the developer has announced some new information to look forward to in 2025. While the news isn’t a release date, it is something that’s happening much sooner, and it begins next January 2025.<\/p>\n

10th January 2025:<\/strong><\/span> Developer FromSoftware confirms that the Network Test for Elden Ring Nightreign runs between 14th and 17th February 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. In a social media post, the developer also revealed that the game would launch for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One consoles<\/a>. The original reporting continues below.<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n

FromSoftware announced on social media<\/a> and the game’s webpage<\/a> on Bandai Namco’s website<\/a> that a Network Test for Elden Ring Nightreign will occur in February 2025<\/strong>. The date for when the Network Test starts has been confirmed, and it will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles; registrations for the upcoming testing period<\/a> will be open on 10th January 2025<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The network test is a preliminary verification test in which the selected testers play a portion of the game prior to the full game launch. Various technical verifications of online systems will be examined by conducting large-scale network load tests.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
It’s unclear why the developer has omitted making the Nightreign Network Test for PC next February; it’s still being determined if a separate test will be coming to the PC once the console Network Test concludes.
