How To Tame The Armadoggo In ARK Survival Ascended Extinction<\/h2>\n

The Armadoggo is a new creature introduced with the Bob’s Tall Tales 3: Wasteland War DLC<\/a>. To have the Armadoggo spawn in your game, you’ll need to purchase the expansion. Once you’ve done that, you can find the Armadoggo in and around the Sanctuary area, located at the center of the map.<\/p>\n

Taming the Armadoggo is simple and doesn’t require much gear or resources. All you need is its preferred taming food – ideally Kibble<\/a>, Raw Prime Meat, or Raw Mutton. Just walk up to the Armadoggo, place the food on the ground, and once it starts sniffing, you’ll get the option to pet it. Petting the Armadoggo will automatically tame it.<\/p>\n

Armadoggo Uses and Abilities On Extinction<\/h2>\n

While the Armadoggo isn’t known for its offensive power, with only a bite attack that does some damage to smaller targets (but not much against larger creatures), its true strength lies in its utility as a companion and support in battle. Let’s break down its benefits.<\/p>\n

Companion Mode<\/strong><\/p>\n

When activated, the Armadoggo becomes a companion, offering several benefits through its radial menu. The player can control its movement, make it follow, wander, or stay in place. It can fetch items, play dead for damage reduction, and alert the player to nearby threats. Additionally, it can be called from any distance, burrow to avoid harm, and free the player from handcuffs. The Armadoggo Whistle<\/a> is added to control its actions, either performing the default command or accessing the action menu.<\/p>\n

Buried on Death & Weapon Traits<\/strong><\/p>\n

If the Armadoggo dies, it will bury itself and respawn after an hour with full health, dropping its inventory. If it kills a creature that would drop a treasure map, it instead provides a Weapon Traits Map that can be unearthed in Companion Mode for random weapon traits as loot.<\/p>\n

The Armadoggo can equip various gear to support the player. It can use a Bait Trap to distract creatures, battle spikes to increase damage, Camping Gear for cold protection, and a sleeping bag. Other options include an Oxygen Tank, Speed Booster, Medpack, Spykit, Picnic Set, Extra Armor, Chibi-Carrier, Rucksack, and Ammo Box.<\/p>\n

Pack Boost<\/strong><\/p>\n

When near other allied Armadoggos, the Pack Boost activates, increasing damage and resistance by up to 10% and 5.5%, respectively, for each additional Armadoggo in the group, up to seven.<\/p>\n

Pack Leader<\/strong><\/p>\n

The highest-level Armadoggo in a pack becomes the Pack Leader, gaining a 25% increase in melee damage and a 12.5% boost in damage resistance.<\/p>\n
