Also around this time in 2023, the game was removed from digital stores, preventing new players from purchasing the game as developers prepared for sunsetting it. <\/p>\n<p>Friday The 13th: The Game was originally released by IllFonic and Gun Interactive in 2017, just a year after its fellow asymmetrical horror Dead by Daylight. The game rose in popularity but faced licensing issues and eventually lower player counts, resulting in its closure this year. <\/p>\n<p>While Friday the 13th: The Game might be over, its creators are continuing to work on their own asymmetrical titles. Gun Interactive is behind The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, with IllFonic boasting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/killer-klowns-from-outer-space\">Killer Klowns From Outer Space<\/a> title.<\/p>\n<p>For now, Jason isn&#8217;t set to be in any new games in the future that we know of &#8211; but depending on how licensing issues play out, he could very well come to Dead by Daylight or another popular asymmetrical horror game.
