Sucker Punch Productions will have a productive 2025 as they gear up for the upcoming release of the action-adventure game Ghost of Yōtei<\/a>, a standalone sequel to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima<\/a>. In addition to this game’s release, a film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima<\/a> is in development by Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions, with John Wick director Chad Stahelski at the helm of the project; however, no details on the film’s development have been released to the public and media since its announcement.<\/p>\n

Sony made yet another announcement regarding the Ghost of Tsushima IP, which aims to expand and explore the game’s rich narrative, and world-building through a different medium in a stunning new project. This was announced at a global tech convention in the United States; however, no further details have been provided since its official announcement.<\/p>\n

Crunchyroll’s president Rahul Purini and Aniplex president Atsuhiro Iwakami announced at the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 convention<\/a> in Las Vegas, USA, that an anime treatment based on the Ghost of Tsushima IP<\/a> is in development. The Ghost of Tsushima anime adaptation, adapted from the game’s Legends multiplayer mode released in 2021, will be developed in conjunction with Aniplex and studio Kamikaze Douga.<\/p>\n
