Ubisoft had detailed some incoming adjustments made over the past few months to various in-game mechanics for the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Shadows<\/a>. These include overhauls to the stealth features, combat system, and, more recently, the parkour mechanics<\/a> explained in the latest developer post.<\/p>\n

However, the French publisher and developer had announced that the upcoming action RPG game Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be pushed back by a couple of weeks from its current slated release date of 14th February 2025<\/a>. This slight delay will give the development team more time to polish and launch the game in its best possible and stable state across consoles and PCs.<\/p>\n

The announcement was made in an official post<\/a> on the game’s webpage before being uploaded across their dedicated social media channels. Marc-Alexis Côté, the Executive Producer for the Assassin’s Creed series, issued the statement confirming the delay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows from 14th February 2025 to 20th March 2025 for consoles and PCs.<\/p>\n

While highlighting the importance of sharing the development team’s progress with the community through their Gameplay Overview series, Côté stated that “each week has brought valuable feedback”<\/strong><\/em> from the Assassin’s Creed community to the team. “While we’ve already made remarkable strides, we believe a few additional weeks are needed to implement that feedback and ensure an even more ambitious and engaging day-one experience,”<\/strong><\/em> he continued.<\/p>\n

With this delay to a new release date for the upcoming action RPG, Côté assured the community that the team will “remain committed to delivering a high-quality, immersive experience — fostered by ongoing dialogue between our players and development teams.”<\/strong><\/em> Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches globally on its newly announced release date of 20th March 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, Amazon Luna cloud gaming, MacOS, and PC via Epic Games Store, Steam, and Ubisoft Connect with pre-orders to be reopened soon<\/a> for the abovementioned platforms.<\/p>\n
