The developer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/skate\/news\/year-one-of-community-playtesting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">had initially promised in a dedicated blog post<\/a> from 2023 that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/skate-4\/console-playtesting-will-be-coming\">a console playtest &#8220;will be coming&#8221; soon<\/a>, which, at the time, no date was provided; however, console players could register until it was made available.<\/p>\n<p>However, registered console players who have yet to be selected or are awaiting their invite to join the Skate playtesting will have to wait a while, as <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/skate\/status\/1877406952751321396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the developer promised to invite newly registered players to the closed playtest<\/a>. This was addressed in the video clip as the developers answered a question regarding the console playtesting, which they&#8217;ve confirmed is now available as it was initially slated to go live in Fall 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"input-sentence~3\">Skate, which the developer considers to be an <strong><em>&#8220;authentic evolution&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> of the skateboarding franchise, is still currently in development at Full Circle, where they&#8217;re using the playtesting to invite <strong><em>&#8220;insiders like you into the game much sooner than is the norm in our industry,&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/skate\/faq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a statement from the game&#8217;s FAQ page<\/a>.<\/span><span id=\"input-sentence~4\"><em><strong>&#8220;We&#8217;re incredibly passionate about Skate and want to ensure we&#8217;re building the best possible game, and that&#8217;s why we want you playing and providing valued feedback ahead of a worldwide launch,&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> the statement continues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"input-sentence~4\">For now, anxious players looking to jump into the console playtesting for Skate will have to wait and check back to their Inbox for an email confirmation, securing their place for this closed testing period.
