The ban came following ByteDance&#8217;s video-sharing app, TikTok, which was banned in the country where ByteDance is the owner of Marvel Snap&#8217;s publisher, Nuverse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>An official statement was posted on their Discord server and Twitter account; the developer stated that the development team is <em><strong>&#8220;working around the clock&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> to restore the game&#8217;s services on the app stores in the country and, as such, will update all players on this development. It&#8217;s important to note that this only impacts US-based Snappers, as those outside the US can continue <em><strong>&#8220;to play with no issues.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><pre><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>21st January 2025 Update:<\/strong><\/span> Marvel Snap developer Second Dinner officially announced on their Discord server and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seconddinner\/status\/1881535498709266691\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">their dev Twitter account<\/a> that game services have been \"fully restored\" in the US following last weekend's shocking ban. The original reporting continues below.<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n<p>Marvel Snap is one of a few owned IPs that was banned in the US following TikTok&#8217;s ban in the country, which Second Dinner stated that it caught the entire team off-guard. It&#8217;s almost guaranteed that Marvel Snap&#8217;s services will be restored to the app stores soon, and we await new updates from the developer in the next few hours.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, the developer has provided a string of updates posted to their Discord server and Twitter account, which, as of writing, the game is still offline and unavailable in the US. Firstly, the developer <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seconddinner\/status\/1881099521310269578\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">will compensate <em><strong>&#8220;all players&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> for &#8220;<em><strong>lost time&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/a> as they&#8217;re missing time completing daily, Season Pass and Bonus Challenge missions and claiming their free credits and other rewards.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the developer <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seconddinner\/status\/1881135534548107414\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">has encouraged affected Snappers to follow Marvel Snap content creators and streamers<\/a> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/directory\/category\/marvel-snap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Twitch<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCLUYB5LEwmH-08QOzzEOTeA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">YouTube<\/a> for those <em><strong>&#8220;itching for a continued dose of SNAP&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> and, of course, to support their content and the SNAP community.
