The new title by Steelkrill Studio and Feardemic has historically only been available on Steam in its Early Access phase; there&#8217;s no official release date yet.<\/p>\n<p>The Backrooms: 1998 tells the story of a young teen who falls into the Backrooms during &#8211; you guessed it &#8211; the year of 1998. Developers say it&#8217;s an overall more &#8220;terrifying experience&#8221; thanks to the fine-tuned mechanics, too.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;Though there&#8217;s no official release date for the full 1.0 version of the game quite yet, here&#8217;s what developers had to say about it<em>: &ldquo;Early access is going to take few months or maybe a couple of years &#8211; however this may change depending on features that we will be adding in the game and how the game will progress through early access.
