Ubisoft rolled back its decision to release games on Valve’s PC digital storefront, Steam, after years of critiquing its business model, stating that the digital storefront<\/a>“doesn’t reflect where the world is today in terms of game distribution.<\/strong><\/em>” This decision didn’t age well for Ubisoft in the wake of their financial earnings back in September 2024, as Assassin’s Creed Shadows was then delayed to 2025<\/a>, and Star Wars Outlaws<\/a> had only been on the market for a few weeks.<\/p>\n

The French publisher recommitted to bringing their games to Steam, starting with Outlaws in November 2024<\/a> and Assassin’s Creed Shadows on 20th March 2025. Additionally, multiple games received much-needed updates and gameplay features and functionalities like Steam Achievements, for which the latter was added to another Assassin’s Creed game.<\/p>\n
