Riot Games and UVS Games have officially announced the name of their upcoming League of Legends trading card game and it will be called Riftbound.<\/p>\n

Launching in China this summer, followed by multiple English-speaking countries in October 2025 and other regions in 2026, Rifthound will be a free-to-play game. <\/p>\n

“We’ve been incredibly humbled by the excitement and interest from players around the world who can’t wait to play Riftbound<\/em>,”  said Chengran Chai, Executive Producer at Riot Games.<\/div>\n
“We’re grateful to the growing Riftbound community and the TCG players who’ve jumped in early to share their feedback including the call for more original art and refined UI. That feedback encouraged us to level up the game experience by revisiting some of our design decisions and conducting more playtests to ensure that we’re delivering a game that players will love.<\/em>“<\/div>\n

The game will feature 1v1 and multiplayer formats, including 2v2 and will launch with its first set, Origins, featuring over 300 different cards and pre-constructed decks for classic champions like Viktor, Jinx, and Lee Sin.<\/p>\n

Apart from this, Riftbound will introduce ready-to-play decks called Riftbound: Origins Champion Decks, each containing 56 cards. These decks will feature a variety of card types, including units, legends, champions, spells, gear, runes, and battlegrounds.<\/p>\n

New and casual players in Riftbound can start with Proving Grounds, which includes a starter deck featuring Lux, Annie, Master Yi, and Garen. This set can be played with 2 to 4 players. Moreover, 14-card booster packs will be available at launch for players looking to power up their decks.<\/p>\n

Players will be able to test the game throughout the year and check out Riftbound decks at upcoming Riot and tabletop events. The final card design and gameplay mechanics are still in development, but we should hear more from Riot in the near future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
