The best of British gaming excellence was honored for their “outstanding creative achievement”<\/strong><\/em> at the 21st annual BAFTA Games Awards<\/a>. This year’s ceremony, which was preceded by the nominations announcement, was Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2<\/a> being the most nominated video game with 11 nominations, while indie releases Balatro, Still Wakes the Deep<\/a>, and Thank Goodness You’re Here! earned nominations.<\/p>\n 2024’s Game of the Year (GOTY) Astro Bot<\/a> also received nominations across multiple categories, and viewers had to wait until 8th April 2025 for the ceremony to take place and the winners to be honored<\/a>. On the evening of this year’s BAFTA Games Awards, the adventure platform game stole the show, winning five awards, including Best Game, while Balatro took home the top honor for Debut Game.<\/p>\n
