Dead by Daylight’s newest chapter, Forged in Fog, introduced a new killer to the horror game known as The Knight. The Knight’s power is extremely unique, allowing him to send off three Guards to attack survivors. Each of the Guards has their own unique ability, too, making complex plays an option.

Let’s go over how the Knight’s Guardia Compagnia ability works in Dead by Daylight, including the power description and how each of the three guards functions.

The Knight’s Guardia Compagnia ability allows him to send out three Guards – the Carnifex, Jailer, and Assassin, in that order – to patrol the map and attack survivors.

These three Guards each have a unique ability, which is outlined in The Knight’s power description.

The Knight can summon Guards to patrol nearby areas and hunt Survivors, or execute tasks for him.

Special Ability: Guard Summon

Tap the Power button to activate the Guard Summon mode.
Ending this mode will summon one of 3 Guards, in a fixed order, who will do your bidding, each with his own special ability:

  • The Carnifex breaks or damages objects faster and has a longer Hunt phase.

  • The Assassin moves faster during a Hunt and causes Deep Wound when attacking.

  • The Jailer moves faster during a Patrol, has a larger Detection range, and has a longer Patrol phase.

Survivors are invisible to The Knight while he is in the Guard Summon mode, but can still be heard.
