{"id":7375,"date":"2020-08-24T00:52:47","date_gmt":"2020-08-24T00:52:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/golden-guardians-knocked-out-by-tsm-in-playoffs-match"},"modified":"2024-07-22T22:19:17","modified_gmt":"2024-07-22T22:19:17","slug":"golden-guardians-knocked-out-by-tsm-in-playoffs-match","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/league-of-legends\/golden-guardians-knocked-out-by-tsm-in-playoffs-match","title":{"rendered":"Golden Guardians knocked out by TSM in close LCS Playoffs match-up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/league-of-legends\/lcs-2020-summer-playoffs-schedule-bracket-how-to-watch\">playoff battle<\/a> which was incredibly back and forth, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/league-of-legends\/golden-guardians-damonte-best-mid-laners-lcs-nisqy-jiizuke-interview\">Golden Guardians<\/a> find themselves out of Worlds contention and their 2020 season is officially over.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"traffective-ad-Content_1_235949\" style=\"display: none;\" class=\"Content_1\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"traffective-ad-Content_1_394937\" style=\"display: none;\" class=\"Content_1\"><\/div>\n<p>Although they easily 3-0&rsquo;d TSM the first time they went against each other, they fell in a close 3-2 series, saying goodbye to their Worlds hopes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Golden Guardians have become the team to watch this split, and while their Spring Split wasn&rsquo;t too exciting, they started off the year changing their roster a bit, only holding onto Kevin &ldquo;Hauntzer&rdquo; Yarnell and Victor &ldquo;FBI&rdquo; Huang.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They added jungler Can &ldquo;Closer&rdquo; &Ccedil;elik, Greyson &ldquo;Goldenglue&rdquo; Gilmer and Yuri &ldquo;Keith&rdquo; Jew, who made a role swap from ADC to support. Keith&rsquo;s performance, however, was less than impressive, and he was replaced with Choi &ldquo;Huhi&rdquo; Jae-hyun midway through the split. This would be yet another team that Goldenglue was removed from, and although in the middle of the Summer Split he found a place on Evil Geniuses to assist them, his future for 2021 is not set in stone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Golden Guardians did well with Damonte; him and Closer have worked closely together and it has worked in their favour. Although they finished Summer in 5th, a slight improvement from Spring, their first series against TSM was a 3-0 sweep, sending TSM down to the bottom bracket.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div data-oembed-url=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Damonte\/status\/1297692956082581505\">\n<blockquote align=\"center\" class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Im fucking proud of my team either way, sucks to go out like that but I hope this isn&#8217;t the last you&#8217;ll see of us.
