The biggest announcement during the second Ubisoft Forward event was probably the reveal of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, but the longest part of the event was dedicated to news about Watch Dogs: Legion.

Stormzy joins Watch Dogs: Legion

Probably the most interesting news about the game is that Stormzy, a British rapper, singer and songwriter, will be featured in the game.

Clint Hocking, Watch Dogs: Legion Creative Director, says that music is “a huge cultural touchstone” and that they want to “get it right” because the game is set in a real place.

He explains that they’ve asked Londoners who will be the best artist to reflect the themes of the game (speak on behalf of the oppressed and defy those in power), and that Stormzy’s name stood out the most.

Stormzy is known for his political and social activism. In the aftermath of the George Floyd protests, Stormzy issued a statement that he plans to donate £1 million a year for 10 years to charities, organisations and movements that are committed to fighting racial inequality, justice reform and black empowerment in the United Kingdom.

The mission featuring him is called “Fall on my Enemies”, which is also the name of his song.
