Injuries in esports are perhaps not as common as physical sports, however, they can be career-threatening when they do happen. <\/p>\n

While Jay “Sinatraa” Won’s journey as a Valorant player won’t be stopped by his recent accident, it was enough for the former Overwatch pro to end up going to the ER, as the 20-year-old revealed an injury to his left eye obtained while working with a resistance band.<\/p>\n

In a follow-up tweet, Sinatraa said explained that he tried to curl the band<\/a>, slipping from his feet, going straight for his eye in the process. He also shared a photo of the gruesome injury.<\/p>\n

It’s not difficult to see how a resistance band could generate enough speed or momentum to leave permanent damage to a person’s eye, so we’re glad to hear Sinatraa will have a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n
