In an announcement made on Twitter, Dallas Fuel’s Gamsu has voiced his intention to return to League of Legends.<\/p>\n

I’m very grateful for the past three years of playing Overwatch, but I have made the decision to retire and pursue League of Legends again. Please continue to cheer for me as I go into this next part of the journey.<\/p>\n

Gamsu is the latest high profile Overwatch player who has left the scene for pastures new – or in this case, old. Rumours of a delayed start to the 2021 OW season, the upcoming release of Overwatch 2, and notably poor viewership numbers for the OW League have left players and organisations reconsidering how heavily they are invested in the scene.<\/p>\n

    It has led to players like Jay “Sinatraa” Won leaving for Valorant, record layoffs for teams like the London Spitfire<\/a>, and now Gamsu making a bid to return to pro-play in League of Legends.<\/p>\n

    Gamsu spent time on Samsung Galaxy Blue, Team Dignitas, and finally Fnatic as a toplaner in League of Legends, before retiring to move to Overwatch in 2016. As an Overwatch player, he had tenure at notable teams Boston Uprising, Shanghai Dragons and Dallas Fuel, including a first place finish in the 2019 Stage 3 Playoffs with the Dragons.<\/p>\n
