Guild Esports has signalled its entry into a third esport, after FIFA and Rocket League, signing of all-Swedish Valorant roster ‘Bonk’.<\/p>\n

The roster which consists of Yacine “Yacine” Laghmari, Malkolm “bonkar” Rench, Leo “Leo” Janneson, Filip “Goffe” Gauffin ‘Goffe’ and former CS:GO pro William “draken” Sundin.<\/p>\n

The roster were one of the best performing unsigned teams in Europe finishing in the top two In the Ignition Series’ LVL Clash 2 and Mandatory.gg<\/p>\n

The team’s inaugural competition under the Guild Esports banner will be the Riot run First Strike which is set to start in November<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yacine spoke of his excitement after signing with Guild Esports:<\/p>\n

“Guild is an organisation with big ambition that is on a path to achieve great things and I’m proud to be a part of that. I’ve always been an ambitious player and want to create a legacy that will last.<\/p>\n

Our team has already proved itself at a top level and now the goal is to become world champions.”<\/p>\n

It marks a leveling up of Guild Esports competitive ambitions and will go some way to silencing those that have questioned David Beckhams role in the organisation<\/a> and their floatation on the London Stock Exchange<\/a> following the raising of over £20m.<\/p>\n

Five full-time salaried players is a significant cost and one that will dwarf the amounts they pay to keep their Rocket League<\/a> and FIFA players employed and shows a commitment to hardcore esports that some questioned their stomach for.\"GuildGuild’s Rocket League team is one of the best in Europe. Speaking in a statement to announce the signing Carleton Curtis, Executive Chairman at Guild, said:<\/p>\n

“Joining the Valorant community is a perfect step for Guild and we are delighted to expand into the new exciting and emerging esports space.”<\/p>\n
