Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most anticipated games of this generation, got delayed again to December, and unfortunately, some fans are showing their dissatisfaction in an inappropriate manner.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Cyberpunk 2077 was originally scheduled to release in April earlier this year, before being rescheduled for September, and then the 19th November.<\/a><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, CD Projekt RED announced the third postponement of the game<\/a>, despite their previous statements the game was ready and that there will be no further delays.<\/p>\n

Just a day before the announcement that the game will be delayed yet again, they were confirming to people on Twitter that the date (19th November) will be the release date, and people were making their plans with that information in mind. Many were even taking days off so that they can enjoy the game during the release period.<\/p>\n

Understandably, a lot of fans aren’t happy with the communication from the developers in regards to the game’s release date, especially in light of recent news about yet another mandatory crunch period for Cyberpunk 2077 developer.<\/a><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, some of those disgruntled fans are taking it too far and showing their dissatisfaction with the delay in an unacceptable way, with insults and the sending of death threats to individuals over at CD Projekt RED, the developers behind Cyberpunk 2077.<\/p>\n

I want to address one thing in regards of the @CyberpunkGame<\/a> delay.
I understand you’re feeling angry, disappointed and want to voice your opinion about it.
However, sending death threats to the developers is absolutely unacceptable and just wrong. We are people, just like you.<\/p>\n

“I understand you’re feeling angry, disappointed and want to voice your opinion about it,” said Andrzej Zawadzki, Senior Game Designer at CD Projekt RED. “However, sending death threats to the developers is absolutely unacceptable and just wrong. We are people, just like you.”<\/p>\n

The majority of Cyberpunk 2077 fans and a lot of influencers were showing either their full support or reasonable criticism after the announcement of the delay.<\/p>\n

And while Andrzej didn’t share any examples of the messages he and his colleagues were getting, some recent examples from the industry, like the death threats Laura Bailey<\/a>, the voice of Abby in The Last of Us 2, recieved followng the launch of that game, highlighting just how vicious some sections of the gaming community can be.<\/p>\n

Hopefully, things will settle down in the coming days and the game’s developers won’t be receiving death threats anymore. They are already under enormous stress to deliver the game and are working 50 hours per week during this period, and the last thing they deserve is to deal with death threats and insults.
