Tekken 8 Gameplay & The Story So Far
Tekken 8 will follow the story of two main characters, Jin Kazama and father Kazuya Mishima, continuing the tragic saga of father and song grudge matches.
The new entry of Tekken 8 will continue after the events of Tekken 7, where Jin proclaims to destroy Kazuya and the cursed Mishima bloodline along with him.
Check out the Tekken 8 announcement trailer from the Sony's State of Play in September 2022 below.
In a PlayStation Blog post, Katsuhiro Harada, the Executive Producer and Director at Bandai Namco Studio, explains what you are seeing in the trailer: "This trailer was actually taken directly from a certain part in the current work-in-progress Tekken 8’s story mode, played on PlayStation 5. In other words, all the character models, backgrounds, and effects are the same ones that are used in-game.
"Although this was captured from the story mode, it is not a pre-rendered movie made for the trailer but rather real-time rendered footage, running at 60 frames per second, similar to how you would experience the game in versus battle modes."
As mentioned previously, Tekken 8 will include new gameplay using Unreal Engine 5. Giving your fights more stunning and destructive visual effects
