With the release of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon just around the corner, we've been given an in-depth look at many of the features of the game. And one feature that we know will be in the game will give players a chance to capture the spectacle and visual beauty of Armored Core VI.

This new feature is called Photo Mode and is an exciting first for a FromSoftware title to include. So in this guide, we'll discuss everything you need to know about the new Photo Mode feature coming to Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.

Does Armored Core VI Have a Photo Mode?

FromSoftware's history of game releases has consistently omitted a Photo Mode, disappointing many fans who want to capture those silly or epic moments in-game. However, the upcoming launch of Armored Core VI marks a departure from this trend, as recently, a stream on the PlayStation Japan YouTube channel confirmed that Armored Core VI will indeed feature a Photo Mode.

This inclusion of the Photo Mode implies that players experiencing the mech-action game will have the ability to capture images of various in-game moments. Notably, Armored Core VI breaks away from the convention observed in several other Soulslike titles developed by FromSoftware, more specifically, the ability to pause the game.

Unlike previous FromSoft titles, which maintain continuous background activity even during menu navigation, Armored Core VI allows players to completely pause the action, and as with many FromSoft features, the inability to pause has been a point of contention among fans over the years. But it appears that the addition of this feature in Armored Core VI will be fully thought out and add to the experience.

The specific configurations available within this pause/photo mode have yet to be unveiled. However, it's anticipated that players will likely be able to fine-tune aspects such as zoom, angles, and the application of distinct and varied kinds of filters, making this not just a snapshot but another way to engage with the game as players can create fully personalized and custom photos of the things they've done or seen in the game

So, in conclusion, although more details remain forthcoming regarding this feature, it's significant that Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon now holds the distinction of being the first FromSoftware game to introduce a photo mode. And as always, as more details on this mode are released, we will be sure to update you accordingly.
